Annotation:
- It is mentioned here that the camera angle can be used to balance perspectives. films use video to convey information, and the direct output source of video is the camera. So camera angle is the most direct way to balance subjectivity and objectivity.
- It mentioned a film here: A personal documentary film "Lo sguardo di Michelangelo"-Michelangelo Antonioni 2004. In this film the number of shots of Antonioni and the sculpture is basically the same, which means that the number of subjective and objective shots is the same, and fairness is achieved in terms of quantity. Also many of the shots are semi-subjective, meaning that the camera is positioned behind Antonioni's head, filming the side of his face and the field of view beneath his side face, allowing the audience to see through the camera to see him and what he is seeing.
- This is important to eliminate perspective disproportion by moving the camera so that the camera is aligned with the perspective of the film's creators, so that the audience can discover more information in the frontal view.
Test in my film:
- In my film, I also used a semi-subjective shot, so that both me and the computer (I was on a video call with my mom) were in the same frame. In this shot, the viewer not only sees my side face and some of my subjective emotional reflections, but also the reflections of my mum in the video (who appears in the shot as an objective point of view). This shot combines both subjective and objective perspectives. Looking back at the footage, I realised that the changes needed to be made because there were more other extraneous things in the frame. Next time I will increase the focal length and try to picture just me and the objective viewpoint.
